happy st. patrick's day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We woke up this morning to discover that a little Leprechaun paid a visit to our house. First, there was green crete paper and decorations in Parker and Spencer's room along with a four leaf clover. On it was written a clue.....it was a treasure hunt! So off we went all over the house, the mailbox, and even the dishwasher searching for the "pot of gold". We found it in the bathtub! It was filled with snacks, treats, and toys! I didn't get any pictures I was just enjoying watching my two cute boys running around in underwear searching for clues.
And these little mystery boxes were for the ladies I visit teach. I rock as a visiting teacher (just kidding:) What is in them you may ask? Chocolate mint brownies....Holla Heather! The mint in the recipe qualified it as a "St. Patrick's" recipe:)

party on.

Spencer has been pretty stoked about being a big 4 year old now. Here he is with one of his fav presents....a killer whale and a shark.
Opening presents at his party

Jammin' to some music. We made a special party dance mix.....can you say Black Eyed Peas? We love their song titled "Imma Be". Spencer thinks the lyrics say, "bumblebee, bumblebee....I'm a, I'm a bumblebee."
We played some games.
And a mean game of duck, duck goose while we waited for the rest of our guests to arrive.

Cupcakes, Happy Birthday candles, and a couple of Star Wars action figures = a happy Spencer!
We did a pinata also, but I didn't get any pics, just video. But I will say that Optimus Prime pinata didn't see it comin'.

Spencer is 4!

My cute, little Spencer turned 4 today and what a glorious day it was. He started out with the traditional crete paper barricade over his door way that he got to bust through to start off his day. He opened all of his gifts before Daddy had to go to work and then he got to play with his toys the rest of the day. We had lunch at McDonald's with some friends, a doughnut, more playing, playing outside, Ihop for dinner, and a stop at our favorite ice cream shop on the way home. He had a great day and kept saying, "this is my favorite day!" We love you Spenc! I will post pics of our fun day and his party last Saturday. And yes, after today I will be hitting the gym early tomorrow!

I {heart} tulips.

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. -Anne Bradstreet
I don't know about all ya'll, but it's been a sickly winter. I'm ready for kites, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, bare feet, grass-stained knees, sunscreen, playing at the park, picnics, swimming, the smell of fresh cut grass, barbeque's, and lots of other fun stuff!
