Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!
Parker happened to have a show and tell on earth day so we decided to snap a few pictures of him doing his part to help Mother Earth! Picking up trash out of our flower bed. And he is thrilled to be doing as you can see by the expression on his face. More trash by our swing set.
We got these pictures developed and put them on colored paper and we drew a picture of the earth and Parker wrote under it: "Parker loves the earth". I picked him up from school and asked him how the day went and how was show and tell. He told me it went great and his teacher kept his pictures to hang up in the school. He was so excited and said that he is so 'lucky'. It was cute to see him be so excited I was proud of him.

Mmmm, Cake!

I forgot to post these cute pictures of Spencer eating cake on his birthday. He got really into it and I think he actually ate more than just the frosting. There might have been a few bites of cake in there. We went pretty easy on his actual birthday. I used a box cake mix and canned frosting and I grabbed some of his tiny dinos and washed them and used them to decorate. He thought it was great. The good news for me is a 3 year old isn't too hard to impress.
Mmmm, it's just so good!
We love you little Spenc! Last night we were getting ready to run through the bedtime routine and Cory said, "It's time to read scriptures." Spencer was laying on the couch and yelled out, "And it came to pass.." We all just looked at each other and started laughing.

Spencer and I had to go to Wal-Mart this morning and he so affectionately calls it "Spencer's Wal-Mart". We were walking around shopping and he looked up at me and said, "Mom, why are there so many people at Spencer's Wal-Mart?" I just love the cute things kids say!

Our Morning

Well, apparently I woke up this morning with a case of 'pregnancy brain'. For those of you not familiar with this condition it mostly consists of forgetfulness. Parker had a field trip with his school to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden and I thought his class was meeting there at 9:30, but when I got there I was informed that we were supposed to be there at 11:00. Oh, boy! His teacher told us we could stay, but he would miss being there with his friends and kids from school so we decided to come back later. I didn't want to come all the way home so we hung out in Ogden for a while. We headed across the street to the temple to explore and the boys loved the water fountain. It only went off a few times and they loved it. They really liked putting their hands in the water and I was just waiting for one of them to fall in, luckily they didn't.
Parker had wet hands and did a cartwheel on the sidewalk and had a near miss with a night-crawler.....phew, close one. It was getting a little bright!
Parker had to smell every color of flower and he was telling me the 'names' of each of them. He came up with some pretty good ones! We finally made it to the museum and the boys were excited. They couldn't wait to explore and Spencer went right for the dinosaur spot! Parker dressed up as a knight and wanted a picture under the sword. He wanted it to look like it was stabbing him. More dressing up. It was a long morning, but we had fun. We got to run around outside of the temple, get a treat at the store, play at a park, AND go to the museum.

Rainy Soccer

We were hoping soccer would be cancelled, but it was game on. It was also picture day so it was going to happen rain or shine. We got to the soccer field and Spencer refused to get out of the truck so that's where he stayed the whole time. He wanted nothing to do with the rain and cold. Parker and his teammates were running around before the game started and there were lots of worms on the ground so in true boy fashion they were picking them up and chasing each other with them. Parker is holding one in this picture getting ready to run after someone with it.
Doing some pre-game warm-up running around in the rain.
Parker on the field. This was taken right after he kicked a goal! It was so cute he was so excited and was looking over to make sure that I saw. We were bummed because Cory missed it and showed up a few minutes later. Their game was at 5:00 and he was coming straight from work as quick as he could, but we are very proud of Parker for playing so hard when it was pretty miserable that day.
This picture is random, but fun. The boys are watching 'Bolt' on their little dvd player. An underwear bum and diaper bum. Hopefully soon it will be two underwear bums:) Spencer could care less about using the potty, so who knows when it will happen. And I guess watching movies on a little dvd player is better than the 42"flat screen. Who knew?

Happy Easter!

We went to my grandma's in Kaysville Sunday afternoon for brunch. Well that's what she called it, but we ate close to 1:00 so we were calling it dunch. We had an Easter egg hunt in their backyard and Parker and Spencer got to enjoy it with their cousins Beau and Luke. They live near St. George so we are glad when we get to see them and spend time together.
Parker totally scored the good stuff. When the boys got up that morning the Easter bunny had left them a few goodies. Parker wanted a pair of sunglasses and that's what he got along with some treats! Spencer is at the perfect age where he was really into it so it was fun to watch him run around. Some of the eggs had money in them which is always a bonus!
Beau and Parker checkin' out eat others loot.
After they had found all of the eggs Spencer was dancing around his basket he was so excited.
Cory had Parker run a few laps around the house and he was glad to do it. He is always running, biking, doing push ups, and squats. He is a total crackup. I think I'm going to enter him into a 3/4 mile kids race this summer. He is very energetic and athletic.
Me and the boys. From this angle it just looks like I've had a little too much Easter candy, but I'm just packing a big Easter egg in my belly! 6 more weeks....yeah! Better get to painting that bedroom pink!

We had a special visitor....the Lexi Bunny! What a doll. I just want to nibble on those arms everytime I see her and you can see why in this picture.

Easter Weekend Extravaganza

It was quite the weekend. It was packed full of fun, food, gifts, spiritual highs, and Easter eggs. It started out on Friday night my sisters, mom, and grandma had a baby shower for me. It was so much fun. I totally scored some great stuff and I can't wait to put all those cute clothes on my baby girl. It still doesn't seem real to me that we are having a girl. It seems like a dream come true and the day is fast approaching.
So these are my sisters and sister-in-law in this picture. I bet you can't tell which one is the sister-in-law. Give up? She's the dark-haired beauty in the middle:) Me and my siblings do look a lot alike I have to admit. There is something irresistible about little jeans, they are too much fun! My family totally hooked me up it was great. It was like living in a pink dream:)

Lexi was partying it up with all the girls.

On Saturday we went over to the Walker's and Ryan blessed Lexi then it was off to the temple to be sealed. What a special day! We were in the sealing room waiting for Lexi be brought in and when she came in she was just beautiful. She sat there in her white dress and the sealer looked at her and said, "Oh man, I'm in love...don't tell my wife." Lexi just looked around and was an absolute angel it was very special and I'm glad we got to be a part of it.

I love this picture of my parents with Lexi, it was overcast so the pictures turned out great! My parents work in the temple in St. George every Friday night and Saturday morning and my mom said that when she is there she wishes she could live there because it is the most peaceful place. We are so blessed to have so many temples around us and have so many opportunites to serve and be in the most holy of places.

A Warm Day!

I woke up this morning feeling a little overwhelmed with my messy house. We had a crazy weekend and the house got put on the back burner. Spencer had been sick since Friday throwing up and having a hard time getting over it. We also painted the boy's room so we got a lot done. I will post some painting pictures later.

So I thought maybe I should just stay home all day and clean and have a boring day, but the weather was so nice we had to get out of the house so we went to......The Dinosaur Park! It's so cute how every time we go they want to put their faces in these and get their pictures taken. I am very glad that we decided to go, we have a year membership so we've got to use it:)
Parker the caveman.
When we got home Parker wanted to put on his swimsuit and run through the sprinklers so I figured 'what the heck'? I think it hit 70 degrees here today and when we got in our vehicle to leave the dinosaur park something remarkable happened....I had a bead of sweat on my brow! We had to turn up the air conditioner.....yeah we love it!

"Girl You Huge"

The reason I put this video on here is 1) it's totally hilarious 2) my boys and I love it and sing the song often and 3) I feel like Gloria when Moto Moto comes up to her and says: "Girl you huge!"

I had a doctors appointment today and I had both boys with me which is always fun....not really they get a little wild. I think they like to go because when I'm all done they get to pick a goodie out of the "treat drawer". So I step up on the scale like always and I hit the 30 pound mark, which made me squeal with excitement, so afterward I went to Krispy Kreme for a celebratory 6 pack of doughnuts! Okay maybe I didn't, but I know Spencer would not have turned down such an offer. There are two things that kid loves: doughnuts and dinosaurs. Now a dinosaur shaped doughnut would be the ultimate treat.

So, yes I'm feeling a bit "Gloria" like if you will with all my weight gain. I had an ultrasound and the little miss has flipped herself around and now her head is up. We went down to my parents last weekend and one night I woke up feeling like there was Kung Fu fighting going on in my belly so that might explain it.

They measured her and she is 4 and 1/2 pounds and I'm 31 weeks, but she is measuring 33 weeks. So I guess that means she will be a big baby OR she will be born a little early which is what I'm hoping for.

Cory and I have differing opinions on this. He wants her to be born in June and I'm hoping for the last week in May. (My due date is May 31st) His reason for wanting June is that in May we already have Mother's Day, our anniversary, and my birthday so it's a little packed already with joy, gift giving and.....him stressing out about the gift giving. The reason I want May is that he is going to scout camp on June 15th. A 2 weeks old baby + a 5 year old + a 3 year old + no husband for 6 days = well, you do the math. Not that a week will make a big difference, him being gone will be hard regardless of how old the baby is when he goes.

My plan is to go to my parents while he is gone where I will have my mom and grammy to help me endure the "newborn hangover". *During Cory's camping hiatus he will be enjoying sleeping soundly in a tent up in the mountains which he loves! It's like asking the question 'does a bear poop in the woods'? And the answer is: YES. So does Cory enjoy camping? YES! The reason I compare the two is that Cory sleeps like a hibernating grizzly bear while camping so it just felt natural to compare the two questions.

*Cory I know you are going to read this and remember I love you:)
