Pioneer Day!

Happy Pioneer Day! We can't let a year go by without being in the annual parade. We did a patriotic theme this year complete with the Statue of Liberty. Go Abbi!

Aunt Emilee hooked up all the kids with cool blue hair gel to make it extra special. And it worked because our float won $25 in the Most Patriotic category!
Waiting for the fish rodeo to start. It was a very exciting event indeed!

Spencer sporting his little blue mohawk and his fish. He was so proud!

And a big thank you to Allison for helping Mataya get her fish. I don't think she actually caught it, but it was given to them by a nice boy.

We LOVE spending Pioneer Day in Marysvale with Grandpa and Grandma Blackwell!

Swim Lessons

The kids have really enjoyed swimming lessons this summer. This is their second time so far. Here is Parker diving in the water.

Spencer learning the body movements for the butterfly stroke.
Mataya LOVED swim lessons. She is so brave and willing to do all the teachers asked her.
Parker doing the front crawl like a rock star!
Getting ready to do a front glide.
 Spencer doing the "Flying Squirrel"!
We borrowed these for the last day of class because we forgot Parker's. They were pretty cool though.

Baseball

We had a fun baseball season this year. We were busy going 4 days a week watching Parker and Spencer play. They both did so well and learned a lot. We really enjoyed watching them play games and Mataya loved going and watching or playing around. Parker was the catcher the last game of the season and he did a really good job, he was right where he needed to be and did so well. That would be a dang hard position to play and he did so good. Parker's was a pitching machine and Spencer's was t-ball. It was really entertaining watching Spencer's age group because the kids are still learning and mostly spacing out most of time when they should be paying attention. We are so proud of Parker because he only struck out one time the whole season and on the last game he hit a home run. He had to call and tell Grandpa Blackwell that he played the Cubs on his last game.
