Parker had his first day of Kindergarten today. It was a big hit. Recess went over big! We were waiting in the hall for school to start and the principal started telling kids to go to class and before I knew it Parker was gone, he went right into his class and sat down. No goodbye or nothing he just ran in and didn't look back. I don't expect anything less from that boy!It was kind of cute to see a lot of the parents of the Kindergarten kids "hanging around" outside the classroom door. A lot of them stood there not sure what to do like their kid would have a complete meltdown and not be able to handle the big school and they would be there to swoop in and rescue them from this HUGE step in life. Well that didn't happen, it proved to be just another day!
I'm excited for Parker to go to school he just went today and then he will go on Thursday for assessments then officially start next Monday. He will ride the bus to school....I'm nervous about that! I'm totally going to pull a Jamie and follow the bus to school and watch him get off and make sure he makes it into the school.
Parker got decked out in his Tony Hawk gear. And for those of you who don't know who Tony Hawk is....how dare you? Just kidding he one of the best skateboarders of all time. And for boys ages 5 to 15 he is the ultimate cool. Parker owns a skateboard, but doesn't necessarily use correctly. He likes to lay or sit on it and ride it down the driveway. But who care Tony Hawk rules!
